Peacebuilding Platform

Cultural Neutral Space
The Pojulu Cultural Festival provides a deliberately non-partisan and inclusive environment where community members gather beyond political, social, or economic differences. Within this space, political divisions are intentionally set aside to allow participants to engage as members of a shared cultural identity rather than as representatives of competing interests.
The festival emphasizes collective heritage, language, traditions, and shared history, reinforcing a sense of belonging rooted in culture rather than ideology. Dialogue and interaction occur in culturally respectful settings guided by traditional norms of conduct, mutual respect, and communal responsibility.
By centering identity over division, this neutral platform reduces polarization, rebuilds trust, and fosters a strong sense of collective belonging across generations and social groups.
Intergenerational Dialogue:
Strengthen continuity between elders and youth. During these sessions, elders will share oral histories, traditional governance systems, conflict resolution practices, and cultural values that have historically guided community life.
Youth participants will be provided space to articulate contemporary challenges, aspirations, and perspectives on the future of the community. Through moderated joint dialogue sessions, both generations will explore shared solutions and reaffirm mutual responsibilities.
This intentional exchange bridges generational gaps, strengthens cultural transmission, promotes empathy, and reinforces social trust. By creating regular spaces for intergenerational engagement, the festival contributes to long-term social cohesion and community stability.

Community Peace Declaration
PCF 2026 will culminate in a symbolic and formally documented Community Peace and Unity Declaration. This declaration will reaffirm the community’s collective commitment to harmony, coexistence, and shared responsibility for safeguarding cultural heritage and social stability.
Developed through participatory dialogue during the festival, the declaration will serve both as a ceremonial milestone and a practical statement of values guiding future engagement. It will reinforce the festival’s role as a peacebuilding mechanism and strengthen accountability toward sustaining unity beyond the event itself.
